What we collect
- Contact information you send to support, such as name, email address, order details, and message content.
- Purchase information received from Stripe and Link, such as Checkout Session or payment identifiers, product purchased, purchase email, country, currency, and refund status.
- License activation and validation information, such as a protected license-key identifier, activation instance ID, instance label, hashed device identifier, validation status, and timestamps needed to keep the purchased license active.
- Aggregated website analytics from Simple Analytics, such as page views and referrer information, without analytics cookies, IP address collection, fingerprinting, or device identifiers.
- Basic technical information from hosting logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp.
- License, download, or update information if needed to deliver the product and prevent abuse.
What the plugin does locally
TrackSync analyzes audio locally on your Mac. It does not upload your media files, Resolve timelines, waveform cache, or audio analysis data to TrackSync servers.
The plugin contacts the TrackSync licensing service to activate and validate your license key. After a successful validation, TrackSync can continue working offline for a limited grace period before another online license check is required.
Payments
Purchases use Stripe Managed Payments, where Stripe acts as merchant of record and the customer-facing checkout, receipts, order tools, and transaction support are presented through Link. Stripe and Link process payment details, tax information, invoices, receipts, fraud checks, refunds, and transaction support under their own legal and privacy terms. TrackSync receives the order data needed to deliver and manage the software license, but does not receive your full card number.
How we use data
- To deliver the purchased product and related download information.
- To activate, validate, and manage software licenses and prevent license sharing beyond the purchased activation limit.
- To provide support, troubleshooting, refunds, and purchase verification.
- To understand aggregate website traffic and improve the website.
- To keep the website secure and diagnose technical issues.
- To comply with tax, accounting, legal, and platform requirements.
Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required.
Sharing
We may share data with service providers that help us run TrackSync, such as payment processors, website hosting, privacy-first analytics, email providers, and support tools. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Support messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain business records. Purchase and accounting records may be retained for the period required by law. License and activation records are normally kept while the perpetual license remains active and for a limited fraud, security, and legal period afterward; deleting records needed to verify a license can make future activation unavailable. Completed Stripe webhook records store only a minimized technical envelope rather than the full payment payload. Hosting logs are kept for a limited technical and security period where possible.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@montyfilm.com to make a request.
Cookies
The TrackSync website uses Simple Analytics to understand aggregate traffic without analytics cookies, IP address collection, fingerprinting, or device identifiers. Stripe and Link may use cookies or similar technologies when checkout is opened.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product, website, checkout flow, or legal requirements change.
